Financial Literacy

Knowledge is power. We work with survivors to step into their power by gaining valuable knowledge about personal finance through our Financial Literacy Program. In Partnership with W!SE, Andrée Collective utilizes the research-based MoneyWise curriculum which is specifically developed for the needs of survivors. This 12-week program ends in an assessment that grants participants a Certificate in Personal Finance, a great addition to their resume.

Therapy

Healing alone can only take you so far. To truly heal, we must heal together. Group therapy offers something that abusers took away through coercion and isolation: community. Andrée Collective offers 12-week group therapy on a pay what you can scale. We have developed a research-based curriculum for this trauma processing group, facilitated by a licensed therapist. Throughout this process, survivors work through both healing and processing their trauma as well as navigating the here-and-now challenges that come with starting over.

Transitional Employment

After participating in one or both of our short term programs (Financial Literacy or Therapy), Survivors have the opportunity to work alongside our wedding professionals to learn the ins and outs of planning and executing events. In their apprenticeship, survivors experience different aspects of the logistics and coordination that go into event planning, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, communication, scheduling and timelines, budgeting, and more. They also assist the primary coordinator in executing day of responsibilities, including design, set-up, vendor management, and ensuring that every aspect of the event runs smoothly.

Career Coaching

Each survivor in our employment program works with a career coach who helps them identify strengths and narrow down career and educational goals. Job coaches help participants develop an achievable, step-by-step plan to accomplish their goals.

Education & Training

Survivors in our short-term and employment programs have the opportunity to engage in education through both vocational training and dedicated time to accomplish the educational goals set out in their career plans. Vocational training includes workshops on interviewing, resume writing, professionalism, financial management, and more.

Collaborative Partnerships

Survivors in our employment program have the opportunity to work with a case manager to help reduce barriers to freedom. Andrée Collective can’t do it all, so through partnerships with other incredible Philadelphia area organizations, survivors work to meet housing, childcare, and transportation needs.
